Groundwork Cheshire, Lancashire & Merseyside

We are part of a Federation of Charitable Trusts: 

  • We help people gain confidence and skills, get into training and work.
  • Protect and improve green spaces.
  • Support them to lead more active lives.
  • Help them to overcome significant challenges such as poverty, isolation, low skills and poor health.
  • The Green Doctor project is borne out of this desire to support the Community.

  • Smart Meters
  • PSR & grants
  • Water efficiency & tariffs
  • Damp, mould & condensation
  • Installation of free small energy saving measures

Winter Support Fund

Emergency support until 31st March 2025

  • Energy vouchers
    • £49 prepayment
    • £70 other payment methods
       
  • Supermarket vouchers
    • Between £50 - £100 depending on the size of the household
  • Essential winter items (one item per household)
    • Air fryer, slow cooker, Electric blanket, duvet or oil filled radiator

Eligibility for a free Green Doctor visit

The primary focus of the programme are vulnerable families and individuals who are living in, or are at risk of, fuel poverty.

  • Low income 
  • Living with debt
  • Aged over 65
  • Living with a health condition affected by the cold
  • Severe mental illness
  • Dementia
  • Disabilities
  • Young people and families containing children under the age of 5
  • Pregnant women
  • People in emergency accommodation
  • Poor housing conditions
